You can use HP SUM to inventory and deploy software to the members of an iLO Federation group. Communication with the group members is facilitated by a node in the group that is called the interface iLO. This is available with iLO 4 firmware version 1.40 and later. When you log into HP SUM, it automatically searches for iLO Federation groups on your connected networks. HP SUM displays up to 10 nodes per group. If there are more nodes, you can select to have more nodes displayed. The Edit screen allows you to enter the user credentials for one node that HP SUM can use as the interface for inventory and deployment to the iLO Federation group.

Select a group, and HP SUM displays information about the group, including Description, Server Type, number of servers, and firmware versions.
