Deploying to and managing iLO Repository with SUM

After SUM creates an install set, you can deploy the updates to the iLO, save the install set to the iLO Repository, and add the components to the installation queue on iLO.

• Inventory screen: Use this screen to inventory the baseline contents and the iLO node.

• Review/Deploy screen: Use this screen to deploy updates or alter the scheduled pending component updates. This screen performs like the Review/Deploy screen for other nodes.

The iLO Repository allows you to deploy firmware with the following methods:

• iLO with integrated Smart Update Tools: The iLO 5 node is able to deploy updates to the iLO without using any other update tools. This does not support deploying updates to other nodes.

• iLO and SUM: SUM works with the iLO to deploy the updates to the targets, for example, the operating system and iLO node.

• iLO and SUT: The iLO and SUT work together to deploy updates to the target nodes, for example, the operating system and the iLO node.
