Using the Nodes screen

Nodes are hardware environment components. The Nodes screen displays the nodes that you have added to HP SUM and HP SUM can manage. On the Nodes screen, HP SUM displays information about the node, including the following:

  • General

  • Associated devices

  • Storage

  • NIC/FC-HBA/CNA

  • Enclosures

  • Switches

  • Partitions

  • Cartridges

  • HP Moonshot system information

  • iLO Federation group information

The yellow information bar under the node name gives a brief description of the status or action you can perform next on the node. Click the arrow to expand for full details. For example, after you add a node, the status bar might give a link to Inventory the node. Or, after you inventory a node, the status bar will provide a link to review the updates before you deploy updates.

[NOTE: ]

NOTE: The details that HP SUM displays vary based on the node type.

Viewing LiveLog information

The status bar also includes a log that details the activity that HP SUM is performing on the node. When viewing a remote node, HP SUM displays the log information for the most recently deployed component while it deploys another component.
